Welcome to Torbay Citizens Advice Bureau

Torbay CAB has bureaux in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. The service also provides outreach sessions at Old Farm, Croft Hall, Park Hill, Abbey Road, Mayfield, Walnut Road, Old Mill, Barton, Kirkham and Fore Street (St Marychurch) doctors surgeries. To book an appointment at one of our outreach sessions, just ask at the surgery reception.

The bureau also provides specialist advice in Debt for clients who qualify for Legal Help (also know as Legal Aid).

We are able to offer advice in many areas, but the following are the main categories:

  • Entitlement to benefits
  • Employment rights
  • Consumer issues
  • Debt
  • Legal issues
  • Housing problems
  • Tax

The advice is free and confidential

For details of these services please click on the menu items to the left of this page. You will also find a link to Advice Guide which provides basic advice on a wide range of subjects, links to useful websites relating to advice and information and access to Torbay Council's database of community groups and voluntary organisations.

The menu will also take you to details on how to become a volunteer and how to sponsor Torbay CAB.

Please note we are unable to provide advice by email
